Hey! My name is Kristina, but you can call me Krissy, everybody does.
So, a little about me, I'm in my late 20's, have 2 kids, and I live in Kansas City, Kansas! Go Chiefs! I'll always have new Chiefs items, it's just a given. I have a bachelor's degree in Business Marketing that I've never done much with, oops. I am very down to earth, and I go with the flow, but I crave to see the world. I want to travel so badly so hopefully this business will help me do just that!
I've always loved art; creating things just came naturally to me. Which is why I am also a hobby home baker! I started out making vinyl items and quickly learned that wasn't the way I wanted to go. I joined a ton of Facebook groups, because don't we all? And I soon learned about sublimation and knew it was what I wanted to do. I bought one printer but realized I print so much that I need a higher quality one, so I (and my lovely boyfriend, remind him he hasn't proposed yet please) invested a ton of money into a good printer and large heat press. I had to have a printer that printed huge and a heat press that could accompany the large images (large images are literally the sh*t). So, I got my items and just started creating! My business really blew up on Etsy this past holiday season and it was getting harder to track my Facebook and friend's orders, so I decided I wanted a little shop.
My original business started out as SK Customs but after several factors I decided to go a new direction, that is when The Turquoise Orchid was born. This name stems from two things, my favorite color and my favorite flower! It also means rarity and strength which just set the tone for my business, and I knew it was just meant to be, haha.
Anyways, I can't wait for you all to join me on this journey and see what I have to offer! ...don't forget I do custom orders as well(;
